{"id":140,"date":"2010-01-05T11:23:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-05T07:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/catinthedunes.com\/Dubai\/2010\/01\/update-burj-dubai.html"},"modified":"2014-08-10T10:50:49","modified_gmt":"2014-08-10T06:50:49","slug":"update-burj-dubai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/catinthedunes.com\/Dubai\/2010\/01\/update-burj-dubai.html","title":{"rendered":"update: Burj Dubai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So Burj Dubai, or at least, Burj Khalifa as it was renamed at the last minute, is now officially open, and stands 828m high.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nUnfortunately we were stuck in traffic on our way to the Creek, where we had reservations for dinner on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jaresortshotels.com\" target=\"new\">Bateaux Dubai<\/a> (again), at the moment of the fireworks so we missed seeing them, but we could see the tower twinkling away like a giant (dare I say) Christmas tree in the distance all evening. Very pretty indeed.
