legal again

I am happy to report that I am legal again, well in terms of my UAE residence visa that is. After being in visa limbo for a week or two, which felt weird, I was handed my passport today complete with my new residence visa. As part of the process I had to go for another round of medical tests, namely HIV (blood) and TB (chest x-ray) and have been declared, according to the Dubai Government anyway, free from infectious diseases (because there are only 2 that one should worry about right?) Anyway I am sure you are all really relieved by the news.

healthy

Last week was a very busy week workwise, which was rather sudden and surprising (in a good way of course, no-one likes to be bored at work), as well as being a little stressful what with organising our house move for the end of the month. Yes our lease is up already, wow where did the year go? We are moving to a bigger (3 bedroom) villa not far from where we are now, and aside from the actual moving day I am very excited. The movers are booked, happily this includes the packing as well, so all we have to worry about is moving the cats on the day, and of course the unpacking. Good time to get rid of all that junk one manages to accumulate, even after only one year.

Lol! I hate the Xray thingy. We have to stand half naked along with 10 other people in a room. It sucks.
